Getting from the airport to Vera Playa
The road network to/from the above airports is excellent, as Vera Playa is very well connected making driving straightforward.
To hire or not to hire?
Hiring a car
for your stay makes things easy and and opens up the surrounding area for you to explore.
Having said that, a car is not essential at Vera Playa because everything you need is within walking distance.
Airport Transfers
Low cost transfers to and from the airports start from 18€ each way and meet flights from Almeria, Murcia and Alicante airports.

Getting the bus from the Airport to Vera Playa
Pre-bookable public buses which run from Almería City to Vera Town*
About €7-8 euros one way with about 8 services a day and take between 1-2 hours depending on the route.
Pre-bookable public buses also run from Murcia City to Vera Town*
About €10-11 euro one way & about 6 services a day and take between 1hr30 - 2hr15 depending on the route.
To then reach Vera Playa from Vera Town you could catch the Line 2 bus or take a taxi.
*You would need to get a taxi or bus from the airports to the cities, before catching the bus to Vera Town.
Ferries to Northern Spain
If travelling from the UK or Republic of Ireland, ferries into Santander or Bilbao in Northern Spain can be a most pleasurable way to travel to Vera Playa with your own transport.
If you have time to have a leisurely trip, the journey to Vera can be broken up with a hotel stopover or two and sightseeing.
